I have worked with children for over 20 years. When I first started in education, experts would say “every child can learn.” That statement morphed into “every child will learn.” Then it evolved to “that every child will learn, not on the same day and not in the same way.” Every student can discover their gifts. Their gifts can be displayed when given the opportunity by a determined educator that is driven by compassion, enhancing the child’s educational experience.
A quality educator has the ability to overcome an imperfect educational system. One of the most important dynamics for a teacher is an individual or small group instructional time. During that time an educator can build a rapport, assess strengths & weaknesses, fill gaps, and accelerate growth.
Children will need to be disciplined, solutions-oriented, and responsible in order to thrive in this academic environment. Math is an essential tool because it really is the science of finding solutions to problems.
When done properly, building a mathematician becomes the art of creating a critical thinker who finds solutions and is ready to adapt to any situation. Adaptability is one of the most indispensable skills a person can have. Technology has changed the trajectory of education and many industries in the world. The ability to think independently, be adaptable, and solutions-oriented is critical for the next generation.

There is a famous quote that states “most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss, but because they aim too low and hit.” We help our partners aim high, reach for greatness, and become the leaders of tomorrow.
